Dr. Wenderoth served as a United States Peace Corps Disease Prevention Volunteer in the Islamic Republic of MauritaniainWest Africa as well as an investigator at the National Institutes of Health prior to medical school. After completing her residency, she worked in Long Island City, Queens for six years caring for a medically underserved population. She now sees patients at Cornell Internal Medicine Associates.
Dr. Suzanne Wenderoth is a graduate of the College of William and Mary. She served as a United States Peace Corps Disease Prevention Volunteer in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania in West Africa as well as an investigator at the National Institutes of Health prior to medical school. She received her M.D. Degree from Cornell University Medical College (now Weill Cornell Medical College) and completed residency training in primary care internal medicine at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (Weill Cornell Campus). She then worked in WCIMA's Long Island City Community Practice for six years caring for a medically underserved population. She now sees patients at Weill Cornell Internal Medicine Associates.
Dr. Wenderoth's clinical interests include the care of asthma patients in primary care settings, immigrant health and travel medicine. She is an NIH funded investigator and has published clinical studies in the field of asthma. Dr. Wenderoth is actively involved in teaching residents and medical students at Weill Cornell Medical College, where she serves as the Associate Director of the Medicine Clerkship. She is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, and a member of the Society of General Internal Medicine and the Medical Society of the State of New York. In her free time, Dr. Wenderoth recruits physicians to volunteer their services in the developing world with Health Volunteers Overseas.
