Dr. Lyon has an extensive background as a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded researcher in vascular biology and atherosclerosis. His awards and honors have included the Midwestern Vascular Surgery Society Guthrie Award for Vascular Surgery and the Young Investigator's Award from the American College of Angiology. He has been an invited speaker at several local and national vascular surgery scientific and educational programs. Over the past decade, he has been a leader in clinical and basic research endeavors focusing on endovascular and minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of vascular disease.
