Dr. Russell Warren is the Surgeon-in-Chief Emeritus of the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in Manhattan and Professor of Orthopedics at the Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He is currently the Team Physician for the New York Giants. He is the past President of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Shoulder and Elbow Society.
His research interests include the study of the static and dynamic controls for shoulder and knee stability as well as the biology of ligaments, tendon healing and methods to promote cellular repair or replacement. He has conducted a number of studies of athletic injuries particularly of the knee and shoulder and the ability to return to play at high levels. His clinical interests include:
-Shoulder and Knee Instability
-Ligament Reconstruction and Arthroscopy
-Shoulder Replacement and Reconstruction
-Rotator Cuff Disease
-Sports Injuries
