Opening Doors: Contemporary African American Academic Surgeons

Developed and produced by the National Library of Medicine and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture, the Myra Mahon Patient Resource Center is proud to host Opening Doors: Contemporary African American Academic Surgeons. The Opening Doors exhibit celebrates the achievements of African American pioneers in academic surgery and those that continue the tradition today.

Dr. Anthony C. Watkins, Assistant Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College, and Assistant Attending Surgeon at NewYork Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center will open the exhibit with remarks at a reception during African American History Month on February 19, 2014 at 5:00 pm in the Patient Resource Center.
