Personal Statement

The field of Geriatric medicine is both challenging and rewarding. I find the practical, thoughtful and creative practice of Geriatrics to be stimulating. It is particularly gratifying to work with a team of accomplished and diverse professionals all focused on the common goal of improving the care of older adults. Forming relationships with patients over decades has been privilege and continues to sustain my love of the field. I get great enjoyment from being able to teach medical students about this rich and burgeoning area of medicine and hope that some will come to appreciate the professional fulfillment this area of primary care medicine can provide.
