Dr. Elias specializes in reproductive endocrinology, infertility, and gynecology at The Center for Reproductive Medicine and Infertility. He earned his medical degree at the American University of Beirut and completed his residency at The George Washington University with several awards from achieving the highest test results each year. Furthermore, he is the recipient of the BERLEX Award, for significant contribution to medical education, as well as the Resident Award, for demonstrating consistent excellence in all aspects of OB/GYN. After residency, Dr. Elias remained at The George Washington University to complete his first fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, which crafted his expertise in surgery, as he performed over 600 procedures in just one year. Afterwards, he joined Weill Medical College of Cornell University and completed his post-doctoral training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Elias has authored and co-authored several articles in leading scientific journals. The focal point of his research has been on novel genetic factors involved in recurrent pregnancy loss, the effects of uterine factors on infertility, and blood markers for poor ovarian response. Furthermore, Dr. Elias has publications on the management of hyperstimulation syndrome, optimal stimulation protocols, and fertility preservation options in patients undergoing cancer treatment. He has been involved in several presentations at national meetings regarding unique techniques in performing major gynecologic surgeries, such as laparoscopic hysterectomies, ovarian cyst resection, and fibroid removal. Dr. Elias is fluent in French and Arabic, as well as proficient in Spanish.
Dr. Elias' clinical interests encompass minimally invasive gynecologic and infertility surgery, advanced surgical treatment of severe endometriosis and uterine abnormalities, as well as the effects of polycystic ovaries on infertility. He is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Elias' mission is to provide patients with an optimal experience medically, through applying innovative clinical expertise, and emotionally, by understanding couples' desires and expectations for a building a family.
