Megan E. Hughes, Ph.D

Megan E. Hughes, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist who specializes in cognitive-behavioral therapy interventions for mood and anxiety disorders in adolescents and adults. Dr. Hughes provides a variety of clinical services including diagnostic evaluation, consultation and psychotherapy. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Hughes is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Assistant Attending Psychologist at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Hughes earned her B.A. in Psychology and a minor degree in Latin American Studies at Princeton University. Dr. Hughes pursued her Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Temple University, where she focused on empirically-supported treatments for mood and anxiety disorders. Dr. Hughes received postdoctoral training in CBT for adolescents and adults at New York Presbyterian Hospital's Westchester Division.


Dr. Hughes has presented her clinical and research work at national conferences including the American Psychiatric Association, the Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies and the annual meeting of the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation.
