Jonathan Genzen, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Jonathan Genzen, M.D., Ph.D is Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Weill Cornell Medical College.  He is also an Assistant Attending Pathologist at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital (Cornell Campus), where he is Assistant Director of the Central Laboratory.  He is also Director of the Westchester Division Clinical Laboratory.  Dr. Genzen is board certified by the American Board of Pathology in Clinical Pathology.  He is a Fellow of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).  Dr. Genzen is also a member of the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC), the Academy of Clinical Laboratory Physicians and Scientists (ACLPS), and the Society for Neuroscience.  Dr. Genzen has published extensively in the fields of neurobiology and laboratory medicine.

Dr. Genzen completed his undergraduate education at Northwestern University (B.A., 1995).  He subsequently earned a doctoral degree in Neurobiology (Ph.D., 2002) from the University of Chicago, where he also completed his medical training (M.D., 2004).  Dr. Genzen completed his residency training in Clinical Pathology at Yale University / Yale-New Haven Hospital in the Department of Laboratory Medicine (2007).  He then completed post-doctoral work as part of Yale’s Immunohematology Research Training Program.  He currently serves at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital (Cornell Campus) and at the Weill Cornell Medical College.
