Issam Moussa, M.D.

Although it may appear as stating the obvious I do aspire in my daily practice to be the physician whom I would like to go to, or take my family to, in times of sickness. The constant flow of scientific information and cutting-edge technology in the current era of “modern medicine” have the potential to transform medical care to a protocol driven detached endeavor. From my perspective, it is more important than ever to deliver professionally competent care using individualized judgment that sees the patient as a unique individual and not one of many with the same problem. Moreover, I always strive to communicate with my patients in a simple and clear manner, with care and empathy because that is how every one of us would like to be treated when we find ourselves in need for medical care. I am fortunate to be at Weill Cornell Medical Center because I find it to be a place where such care is possible.
