Dr. Dean Straff is presently an Attending Physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Straff graduated from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and then completed an Emergency Medicine Residency at New York Presbyterian Hosptial, where he was named Chief Resident. As a resident, Dr. Straff received Housestaff of the Year award, given by the Cornell Alumni Council.
Dr. Straff has a particular interest in residency education and is a member of the Education Committee. He takes an active role in several resident initiatives here at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Straff has published chapters and manuscripts in several Emergency Medicine resources.
Dr. Straff has also participated in numerous Global Health initiatives and has traveled to India, Kenya, Guatemala, and Tanzania. In addition, he is also actively involved in the operations of Camp Amerikids, a camp for children infected and affected by HIV.
