Dr. Barry Kosofsky
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is the only tri-state-area hospital listed on the 2011-12 U.S. News and World Report Best Children's Hospitals Honor Roll, ranking in all ten pediatric specialties, including Neurology and Neurosurgery.
The Division of Child Neurology has a long history of providing excellent patient care for both the inpatient and outpatient management of all child neurological problems. Our healthcare team includes seven full-time board-certified child neurologists, a genetics counselor, and other dedicated support staff. Our physicians have particular interest and expertise in pediatric epilepsy, headache, neuro-oncology, and metabolic disorders as well as other diseases affecting infant and child brain development.
Under Dr. Barry Kosofsky's leadership, the Division has expanded and is pioneering the use of high-resolution structural and functional brain imaging methods to better diagnose and monitor the treatment of our patients. & Such state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities for our patients will serve to establish our division as one of the leading academic centers to advance the field of child neurology and developmental brain neuroscience.
