Dr. Lieberman serves as Director of Surgical Oncology at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital /Weill Cornell Medical Center, Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, and consultant at the Strang Cancer Prevention Center. Dr. Lieberman is also Director of Surgery at the newly established Jay Monahan Center for Gastrointestinal Health.
Dr. Lieberman is skilled and experienced in a wide array of surgical procedures, and specializes in the areas of melanoma, soft-tissue sarcoma, and gastrointestinal malignancies--including colon and rectal cancers, hepatobiliary cancers, pancreatic cancer, and stomach cancer.
Certified by the American Board of Surgery and National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr. Lieberman utilizes the latest innovations in surgical techniques--including minimally invasive laparoscopic procedures--to minimize patient discomfort and promote recovery from surgical procedures. He performs laparoscopic procedures on the colon, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, and stomach.
