Dr.Gambarin-Gelwan received her undergraduate degree from New York University and medical degree from the Mount Sinai SchoolofMedicine.She completed her Gastroenterology and Nutrition Fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and AdvancedHepatologyFellowshipat the Mount Sinai Hospital as a Chief Fellow. She is a recipient of the American Association forthe Study ofLiver DiseasesAdvanced Hepatology Fellowship Award in 2004. She is Board Certified in both internal medicineand gastroenterology.Her clinicalinterests focus around evaluation and treatment of patients with chronic liver disease,including hepatitis Band hepatitisC, nonalcoholic fatty liver disease, and hepatocellular carcinoma. She is associatedwith the Center for theStudy of HepatitisC. Her other areas of specialty are colorectal cancer screening, gastrointestinalmalignancies, and endoscopy.
Dr Gambarin received her undergraduate degree in 1993 from New York University, and her M. D. in 1998 from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York. She subsequently completed internship and residency training in Internal Medicine in 2001 at Montefiore Medical Center and her Fellowship in Gastroenterology in 2005 at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
