Dr. Weiser-McCarthy completed her undergraduate education at Yale University, graduating summa cum laude. In 2000, she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha and awarded the Spencer Morris Prize for graduating first in her class. She completed her medical training in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a Harvard University affiliate.

Dr. Weiser-McCarthy maintains a strong interest in preventive medicine for all adults, with a particular focus on women's health. For the last five years, she has co-directed the women's health clinic at Cornell Internal Medicine Associates. She has also been actively involved in medical education as an Associate Program Director of the internal medicine residency program.
