Dr. Jay Lemery is presently an Assistant Professor, an Attending Physician, and the Director of Wilderness and Environmental Medicine in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Lemery graduated from the University of Virginia and then completed his medical education at Dartmouth Medical School. He completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at NYU/Bellevue Hospital Center, where he was named Chief Resident..
Dr. Lemery has been instrumental in starting the Wilderness Medicine program here at Weill Cornell. He currently serves as Secretary of the Wilderness Medical Society. Dr. Lemery is also on the Global Health Faculty at Weill Cornell and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
