Dr. Gladys Frankel provides treatment for eating disorders on the inpatient and outpatient levels of care for adults and adolescents. She has extensive expertise in the evaluation and treatment of eating disorders, stress management, trauma and brain fitness. Dr. Frankel treats individuals and families with cognitive behavior and psychodynamic therapies. She teaches medical students and supervises psychiatry/psychology fellows. Dr. Frankel conducts reseach on bulimia and addiction.
Dr. Frankel was previously Assistant Director of a Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Unit and has a certification in psychoanalysis. She has conducted numerous CME programs and paper presentations at the American Psychological Association Convention, New York State Psychological Association and the Westchester County Psychological Association, as well as at the Child and Adolescent Grand Rounds at PWW. She is a frequently requested presenter at many community workshops. Dr. Frankel has a private practice with offices in White Plains and the Cornell Faculty Practice in NYC.
