Dorothy McCauley, M.D.

Dr. Dorothy McCauley is Professor of Clinical Radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus. She is a member of the Chest Imaging Division in the Department of Radiology. Dr. McCauley is an active clinician whose expertise is in thoracic imaging. She is also an active and involved teacher of residents, fellows and medical students.

Dr. McCauley earned her B.A. in Biology, Cum Laude, from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY.  She was awarded her M.D. degree from New York University (NYU) School of Medicine, New York, NY.  

After a year as an intern in pathology at The New York Hospital, New York, NY, Dr. McCauley  completed radiology residency training in Diagnostic Radiology at New York University-Bellevue Hospital. Dr. McCauley achieved Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology in 1975.

Before joining the faculty of Weill Cornell in 1999 as Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology, Dr. McCauley was on the NYU School of Medicine faculty and the attending staff of NYU Medical Center for many years. Dr. McCauley was promoted to Professor of Clinical Radiology at Weill Cornell in 2003.  Her research interests are in thoracic radiology and she has published numerous articles in this area.
