Doodnauth Hiraman, M.D.

Dr. Doodnauth Hiraman is presently an Attending Physician, an Assistant Professor, and the Director of  Medical Simulation in the Department of Emergency Medicine at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Following his graduation from Weill Cornell Medical College, Dr. Hiraman completed a residency in Emergency Medicine at NYU/Bellevue Hospital in New York City.  He returned to Weill Cornell as an Attending Physician in 2004.

Dr. Hiraman takes an active role in the education of residents and medical students in the Department and Weill Cornell Medical College.  He is a member of of the Education Committee for the Emergency Medicine Residency and teaches at the Clinical Skills Center at Weill Cornell Medical College.

Dr. Hiraman is also the director of the subinternship in Emergency Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital.  He was instrumental in spearheading the Medical Simulation program for the Emergency Medicine Residency.  He also is the faculty advisor for the Emergency Medicine Interest Group at Weill Cornell Medical College.
