Cardiac Disease Prevention

The Center is a primary prevention as well as secondary treatment clinic for general cardiology, and specializes in the treatment of hyperlipidemia. The center focuses on management of cholesterol as well as hypertension, diabetes, and obesity as integral parts of reducing cardiovascular risk. Basic lab tests as well as advanced lipid panels are often utilized as part of the patient’s management. Referrals for cardiovascular testing are arranged for patients as needed and may include echocardiogram, nuclear stress testing, cardiac CT Angiography, and peripheral vascular imaging. 

The Center often receives referrals for patients with severe and complex lipid disorders as well as for international and VIP patients to provide comprehensive medical assessment and workup, and referrals to other specialists as needed.

The center’s other mission includes a robust clinical research program in the areas of atherosclerosis, hypertension, lipid disorders, type 2 diabetes, nutrition, and obesity.
