Dr. Carey is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Assistant Attending Neurologist at the New York Presbyterian WeillCornellMedicalCenter and an Assistant Attending Neurologist at the Hospital For Special Surgery. She graduated from theUniversityof California,Berkeley with honors, and received her M.D. from Cornell University Medical College. She completedan internshipin internalmedicine and a residency in neurology at the New York Weill Cornell Medical Center, where she wasthe recipientof the AmericanAcademy of Neurology Future Researchers Award and the Dr. Fred Plum Resident Teaching Award.She completeda fellowship in clinicalneurophysiology, electromyography, and neuromuscular disease at the Hospital for SpecialSurgery andthe New York Weill CornellMedical Center. Her teaching experience includes supervising medical students in theCornell Brainand Mind Course and in anatomysessions dedicated to the study of the cranial nerves. She is a supervisingattending neurologistat the Hospital For SpecialSurgery resident neuromuscular clinic.
