Amanda L. Carmel, M.D.

As an academic general internist I care for adult patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and am involved in resident education. I have a particular interest in women’s health and osteoporosis and spend part of my time doing research in osteoporosis. As a clinician, I value the long-term relationship that I develop with my patients and the continuity of care that I can provide them as a primary care physician.

Dr. Amanda S. Carmel received her medical degree from the Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons in 2004 and completed her Internal Medicine Residency training program at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (Weill Cornell Campus) in 2007. Dr. Carmel has an interest in women’s health issues and is actively engaged in research in Osteoporosis. She is the recipient of the prestigious Hoar Family Fellowship for research in Osteoporosis from the New York Academy of Medicine.
