Dr. Arthur Hirshkowitz is Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College Campus.
He is a member of Weill Cornell Imaging at NYP (www.wcinyp.org) our multi-site outpatient imaging practice. Dr. Hirshkowitz is an active clinician whose expertise is in women’s imaging. He performs mammography, breast ultrasound, ultrasound-guided breast biopsy, stereotactic breast biopsy and general x-ray.
Dr. Hirshkowitz earned his B.S. degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He was awarded his M.D. degree from the State of University of New York (SUNY), Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY.
After a year as a rotating intern at the Jewish Hospital of Brooklyn Dr. Hirshkowitz received radiology residency training in Diagnostic Radiology also at the Jewish Hospital of Brooklyn. Dr. Hirshkowitz achieved Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology from the American Board of Radiology in 1964.
Before joining the faculty of Weill Cornell in 2002, Dr. Hirshkowitz was on the attending staff of Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, NJ for many years.
