Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

A note to our patients:  Effective Monday, November 11, 2013, to accommodate our renovation of Payson 6, the Pediatric Hematology and Medical Oncology Practice will be temporarily moved to a new location at 525 East 68th Street, Payson P-395  (Third floor, 3 floors below our present location).
      
The Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology cares for children and families afflicted with childhood blood disorders and cancers. The Division is led by Dr. Sujit Sheth and includes internationally renowned physicians and a staff of dedicated administrators, nurses, social workers, genetic counselors, technicians and post-doctoral fellows. As part of the NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children's Health, the Division provides family-centered care in a leading edge

The Division provides comprehensive medical and professional services to over one thousand children and their families in both inpatient and outpatient services. Twenty-four hour emergency service is available.
   
Leaders in Research
  
The scientific faculty conducts basic research to identify and develop new medications and curative strategies for childhood blood disorders and cancers. The ACGME-accredited fellowship program conducted in collaboration with the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center pediatric program graduates seven board eligible Pediatric Hematologists/Oncologists each year. In addition, our clinical faculty conduct and participate in clinical research trials to improve the management of childhood blood disorders and cancers.
